Raptor Land Owner: Laila Taylor 

Hello! I’m Laila Taylor, the owner and founder of Raptor Land by Sashinkas.

I’ve been training dogs since around 2019 and professionally since 2023, officially establishing my business in 2024. My passion for dogs started when I was just a little girl, and my training journey truly began by following in my mother’s footsteps, helping her raise our AKC Dobermans since 2011.

The first dog I ever trained on my own was my personal service dog, Raptor — and from there, everything just grew.

Alongside the dogs, I also share my life with two cats — Smokey, a longhaired domestic, and Neffy, a Sphynx — plus three horses, Badger, Flash, and Outlaw, and my African Grey parrot, Buddy.

Sashinkas kennel Owner: Timberly Carter

Hello! My name is Timberly Carter, and I am the owner of Sashinkas Kennels Dobermans.

I’ve had a lifelong love for the Doberman breed, and in 2011 — after many discussions and a whole lot of bartering — my daughter, Laila Taylor, finally won the battle. That Christmas, we welcomed our very first Doberman, Trooper, into our family.

After some time, we decided he needed a playmate, so we added a female we named Sashinka. We planned to have just one litter of puppies… but wow, did things take off from there!

Now, 14 years later, we’re still doing what we love: raising incredible Dobermans and working every day to help better this amazing breed.

Staff member: Sara Miller

Hello! My name is Sara Miller, and much like my aunt, Laila Taylor, and my grandmother, Timberly Carter, I have a strong passion for working with dogs — especially the Doberman breed.

I’m currently still in high school, but I spend most of my free time helping at RaptorLand and Sashinkas Kennels. Over the years, I’ve learned so much from watching my aunt train, helping whelp puppies, and being part of the early socialization process.

I’d also love to introduce my own pack:

  • Buddy, the Great Pyrenees/Hound mix
